Yesterday was the syracuse invite, my home meet. You'd think with it being my home meet and all, I would do outstanding since I run the course every day. Well, if you did think that, you're wrong. I did okay and I medaled (18th place, 17:29), but this meet has some of the hardest competition of my season. But I can deal with competition. What I have a hard time with is when It's 42 degrees, windy, cloudy, and raining. So the meet was slightly miserable and I was freezing cold when I was running, but I did it anyway, because not every meet is going to have beautiful weather and easy competition. If you're going to go out for cross country you have to be prepared to be miserable once in a while.
